How long is the drive from the Almonds and Corals to a town where I can find restaurants, sodas and walk around to buy souvenirs?

I was in this hotel like 4 months ago. The place is nice and the best thing is the ocean view, in the morning the sun will shine in your window and you can see all of Manuel Antonio beach and part of the national park. Does any one know which the minimum age is for driving a car in Costa Rica? I am 20 years old and have heard that in Costa Rica you have to be 18 years old and have a license, is that true?

Can any one tell me if it is possible to pay the daily insurance with cash, or do I need to use my credit card? Also need to know if I can pick a car up at the San Jose Airport and drop it off in Liberia?
