would like to know if there are any shopping areas near Puntarenas, any local crafts etc.

I don't like being very active, I prefer activities like the ones offered in spas. Someone told me about thermal water pools that you sit in sort of like a natural Jacuzzi or something along those lines. It sounded pretty low key and relaxing. Can anyone tell me what this is exactly and where it's located?

From what i have read, i gather that coffee is a major agricultural product grown across the country and would like to learn more about it. Does anyone offer an activity or perhaps a tour that takes place during the day related to coffee? I would be extremely interested in something that involves a tasting.

Are there any rodeos in Liberia this February? We saw one there two years ago this time of year. Also, is there some sort of parade or celebration planned for Ash Wednesday?

My parents live in Coco Beach (aprox 20 mins from Liberia airport) and have been renting cars though Vacationcity.com. This is their 3rd year there and we have found that renting a BUDGET car is great. We have also discovered that if you reserve your car prior to your departure (Saskatchewan anyway) you may save up to half of the cost of renting the car than when you get there.

Anyone visiting the Liberia area, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use PLUS Rent a car. I rented a car from this outfit for 3 days and paid cash for my rental. They put a $750 U.S deposit on my Visa and did not remove the deposit on return of the vehicle.
