I have booked this hotel for a few nights in November. So far, the staff has been EXTREMELY accomodating and I very much look forward to visiting. Very, very friendly.... I just had to share. :)

I need to know if it is true that you might have to pay an entrance fee when you are arriving to the hotel. Do you have to pay something to access the surrounding waterfalls and natural attractions? If so how much is it? I’m going to be traveling with small kids so please let me know if they have a children’s rate…

My girl friend and I want to visit Costa Rica maybe the next month and both are really interested in spending two nights at Xandari Resort & Spa, does any one know how long does it take to get to the hotel from the San Jose International Airport. Does any one know if the beach at Tropico Latino is a white sand beach, also is there is any night life at all around the lodge? I am planning my vacation and Tropico Latino looks pretty nice. We are two couples looking for adventure and surf.

I have heard that Christmas Time is really busy in Costa Rica and that you have to make reservations far in advance. Does Capitan Suizo require a minimum of nights during Christmas season? Somebody told me that this hotel is booked every single year for a big family, is that true? Are they booked already for this coming Christmas week?

We used Expedia.com to book our car reservations when we arrived to Costa Rica. Upon arrival the price for the car went up & up & up & up!!! We were originally told that the car would be $20.00 per day but we were charged $65.00 per day by Economy. The guy at the counter was not friendly at all and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!
