My buddies and I are interested in a more exciting activity than snorkeling. We would really like to see more coral reefs than marine life on our upcoming scuba diving trip. What beach has the best coral reefs and what species can you find in that area?

The best coral reefs in Costa Rica are located on the Caribbean Coast, in Cahuita and Manzanillo. Located very close to the beach these corals have an abundance of species like light yellow brain, Elkhorn, and blue staghorn corals, sea fans, and gorgonians as a back drop to the more than 500 species of fish endemic to the reefs. Besides the corals in these areas are 2 sunken ships to explore in very shallow waters.
