Hotspots

By Latti

I've done some investigation on diving in Central America. I have heard so much about the marine life found in Costa Rica, but no one I talked to seems to remember where they have gone. Can anyone tell me where the best hot spots for diving are and what underwater species are most common?

Rborah says:

Some of the best diving spots in Costa Rica are Catalina Island and Bat Island in the north pacific shore and Caño Island near the central pacific area. Some of the most common underwater species are large Bull Sharks, Giant Manta Rays, Eagle Rays, schools of Cow Nose Rays (golden rays), devil rays and large variety of schools of fish. Let’s not forget abut the worldwide famous Coco Island located about 2 days away by boat!
