We Want Something Different
We have a lot of friends who have honeymooned in Costa Rica and all they had where great things to say. The only problem is everyone we know stayed near a beach, is there a good place to stay maybe in the mountain regions? A hotel or something with a romantic mood and look to it?
The ultimate mountain hotel is the Peace Lodge, located about 1 hour from the San Jose Airport. This Lodge has a rustic style that makes you feel warm and welcome. You even have your own fireplace right in your room to help you set up the mood for the perfect honeymoon… within the hotel’s property there are 5 waterfalls, a butterfly and hummingbird garden, plus the hotel offers exiting adventures like rafting and hiking. Peace Lodge is not the only option you have; check out Tabacon Resort near the Arenal Volcano where you can find an active volcano and natural hot springs and El Establo up in Monteverde where the clouds meet the forest.
