The Good News!

Beautiful view of the ocean. Nice balcony....Room is spacious in Costa Verde II. Beds were comfortable.

The squirrel monkey troop entertained us as they came through around 430 that afternoon.

Ceiling fans kept the room cool enough in april anyway.


The bad News!

The sand fleas or gnats or no see ums......ate us alive at night even with the screens closed. We had to spray ourselves with deep woods off to go to bed.

Do not let them put you on the ground floor of Verde II oceanview. The path to the pool is right outside your room. There is no privacy and passers by can see into your room.

There is no way to call the front desk, which is scary for security reasons if nothing else.

The food is just ok....


Really good news! The 3 hr hike in Manuel Antonio we booked through the hotel was outstanding. We saw so much wildlife.....anteater, sloths, howlers, white faced monkeys, bats, $40 bucks and well worth it!

Costa Verde is not a cheap hotel, but I would shell out the extra to stay at Si Como No next time, for some privacy and to avoid being eaten alive by bugs at night.
