Punta Islita: Think Twice Before Going There
This happened to my sister in law and her boyfriend in March 2007:
1. He tried having a shower only to discover that, whilst turning the hot water on, the knob detached from the wall
2. She tried to get the hair dryer out of the wall socket, and the wall socket came off the wall
3. They got $400 stolen from their room's "safe"
IS THIS WHAT A BOUTIQUE HOTEL THAT CHARGES LOADS OF MONEY FOR ANY ROOM SHOULD BE LIKE??? I don't think so.

In being fair to Punta Islita Resort I would like to post this comment - First off this happened to your "sister"....not you. So to be fair your "sister should have posted the comment". Next I would like our readers to know that in our 6 years of working with Punta Islita Resort that this is the very first time that I have ever even heard of a complaint about them. My wife & I have stayed there serveral times with no problem & our company sends customers there on a regular basis. We recieve nothing but "Good Reviews" about Punta Islita resort.
I will say that yes...they are "Pricey"...but it is a nice, quiet, beatiful resort. I would like to hear comments from other Travelers who have stayed here.
