Relaxing
I don't like being very active, I prefer activities like the ones offered in spas. Someone told me about thermal water pools that you sit in sort of like a natural Jacuzzi or something along those lines. It sounded pretty low key and relaxing. Can anyone tell me what this is exactly and where it's located?
I believe you are referring to hot springs which are “geothermal heated groundwater pools”, or in other words natural pools of fresh water usually heated by volcanoes. In Costa Rica there are a few areas with Natural Hot springs, however the most famous ones are in La Fortuna… whether you go to Baldi or Tabacon you can just sit by the thermal pools, sip a drink and relax while looking at the amazing Arenal Volcano… let the minerals and steam take away the stress and enjoy one of the main attractions in Costa Rica.
