Costa Rica Reviews Blog
Culinary Staple
From what i have read, i gather that coffee is a major agricultural product grown across the country and would like to learn more about it. Does anyone offer an activity or perhaps a tour that takes place during the day related to coffee? I would be extremely interested in something that involves a tasting.
Since coffee in Costa Rica is so important there many tour options available depending on where you are. Here in San Jose the most popular tour is the Classic Coffee Tour by Café Brit where you can learn everything about coffee production in a real coffee factory, but that’s not all! You can also visit Doka Coffee Plantation located about 1.5 hours from San Jose near the Poas Volcano or join the Don Juan coffee tour in Monteverde. Whichever tour you choose, you will learn valuable information, have fun and get to do some professional tasting. Options are endless when it comes to coffee in Costa Rica!
When you book your trip to Costa Rica, don't forget to tell you're agent to include what you want to experience in Costa Rica. For example Coffee, the agency should be able to tell you where are the best coffee farms in the island. If your travel agent doesn't know this... they don't know Costa Rica at all.

Attention users...sometimes comments are just too funny....
I can see that "july30" is an "Expert on Costa Rica". july30 says; "For example Coffee, the agency should be able to tell you where are the best coffee farms in the island. If your travel agent doesn't know this... they don't know Costa Rica at all."
Costa Rica is an "Island"??? (Maybe he is a coffee expert but not a Costa Rica expert)
