In my opinion Puntarenas has the best bus service in Costa Rica. You can catch the DIRECTO to San Jose , no one is allowed to stand in the aisle, and buses leave almost hourly on weekends. The buses are clean and the drivers are great.The terminal has seating , clean restrooms, a good restaurant, and everything is handled very professionally.
