Playa Conchal
A group of 4 ladies from NY coming to Costa Rica in November. Have any of you stayed at the Paradisus Playa Conchal? Any opinions on the resort? Generally, the aerial ride, the rain forest and the white water rafting trip, how long from guanacaste area? also, are the roads as horrible as i have read about? Any info will be much appreciated..
I can help you with Paradisus Playa Conchal, I have been there and it is a great resort. It is a large resort, golf, full spa, nice rooms, great food & friendly staff. It is 1 hour 20 minutes from Liberia airport by car or a 10 minute flight from Liberia to Tamarindo then a 20 minute car ride to the resort. I have ZERO complaints about the resort. As for the tours... I do not know all of them but check this out:

Vacationcity.com booked Paradisus for us and it included a transfer from the airport. The roads are terrible!!! The resort how ever was great! About the day tours, we went on the Buena Vista Canopy tour & also hiked the Rincon de la vieja Volcano area. Both of these were great but I do not know about the others. Pura Vida!
The roads are fixed now, they paved them last month while we were there.
