I visited the Alta hotel last December, it was my honeymoon and we really enjoyed it, but yes the rooms smelled musky. I think it is because of the wood in the room interior and actually if you open the windows the smell will disappear after two minutes or so. In general all the services offered were woonderful. I reccommend it, specially their restaurant!

we stayed there noticed no smell and we had two rooms it has a wonderful balcony and sitting area on balconey if you notice a smell
