Pura Vida!( It was a expression that I learned when visited Costa Rica), I spent the last summer in Costa Rica and stayed at the Volcan Turrialba Lodge, which is a little bit far from activities, you can visit the Turrialba Volcano, but I will recommend you this place more than for taking activities I will say for relaxing. After my visit to this lodge I went to Puerto Viejo and did not have to return to San Jose, it took me about 3 hours to get Puerto Viejo from Turrialba, but the drive was pretty easy with wonderful landscapes.
