I heard that Barrio Amon is unsafe area, there is restaurants close to the hotel Don Carlos at walking distance or is better take a taxi?

Don Carlos Hotel is located in Barrio Amon, we walked like two blocks to a closer restaurant, but could be dangerous walking so to be safe is better to take a taxi
