Hi there! I visited Costa Rica last month and did have the same question, what people at the rent a car told me is that if I used my debit card, the amount will be refunded in two months, while if I used my credit card the amount would be delivered immediately upon car return.

Does any one know which the minimum age is for driving a car in Costa Rica? I am 20 years old and have heard that in Costa Rica you have to be 18 years old and have a license, is that true?
