Tamarindo is located around 2hours away the airport and if you do not want to drive at the airport you can arrange a private transfer from Tamarindo as we did it. Just remember that you need to be in advance at the airport and if your flight departure on early morning you might be ready to wake up really in the early hours.

Tamarindo is only about an hour from Liberia Airport, an hr and 15 mins max. It is only 56 kilometers. But the roads are not that great, but they're working on them as we speak. Give yourself 90 minutes, just to be safe.
