Observatory Lava Flows?

I heard a couple of years ago that this hotel had to be evacuated due to an eruption. Is it safe to stay at the Arenal Observatory Lodge?

I have been there twice, 2004 and last month and I have never heard about an evacuation, I consider the Observatory Lodge a very nice and safe place to stay. Their gardens are beautiful and the view is breath taking. The service is great and the Smithsonian rooms are very nice. During our first visit we stayed at their Hawk Villa which is perfect for families. I definitely recommend this lodge.....
