We have two children and we looked for a nice and calm beach where the kids would be able to spend their time. Ocotal is a dark sand beach and it is good for swim, just be careful if the see level is high because the tides get a little bit harder, otherwise you do not be afraid about it and just relax and enjoy your family vacations.
