Looking For Something Fun Near The Tryp Corobici Hotel

We are an adult couple and we plan on staying in San Jose only one night, I found out that the Tryp Corobici hotel is right downtown. Is it close to any nice museums or daytime activities we can enjoy in one day?

I was down for a convention with my work and stayed at this hotel and the amenities are endless. It is not right downtown but maybe a 5 to 10 minute taxi ride depending on the traffic. I found the location great for visiting downtown or catching day tours like to waterfalls and stuff. The pool and gym are amazing.
