Last summer we went to Flamingo and we were very happy with this area. The beach is really nice and the place is up to families. You can walk easily to the restaurants and it is not too crowed as other places that I have been so it is better for the children too.

Just got back from the Flamingo Beach Hotel. I would not recommend it at this time. The pool area was under construction so we listened to power washers and tile saws all day long. There is nothing for kids to do besides swim and play pool (when it rains for hours every day). The one eating area offers little variety and the food was boring.
