The qestion is really not how far is the hotel from the beach...now let me explain. In Manuel Antonio Costa Rica, there are really no "beachfront" hotels. All of the hotels are what we americans call "beach view or ocean view". The real estate in Manuel Antonio sits up above the ocean and even the few hotels that have property going down to the beach will recommend that you go down to Manuel Antonio beach (thats where every goes) which is at the end of the road. So to answer your question, the distance from Hotel California to the beach with no traffic is about a 4 minute car ride...walking, about 15 minutes or so I would guess.
