Brenda, The surfing is GREAT in Dominical and yes you can rent surfboards in Domincal as well. Dominical Costa Rica is one of my favorite places in Costa Rica. As for your other question the Cristal Ballena is an excellent place to stay but they do not have cabanas the have Ocean View Balcony Suites & family suites.
