The mature timber is Melina and has value when harvested. After harvest the 15 hectares can be reforested with native species with payment, or kept in timber. The pasture can be used for livestock or converted to crops such as citrus, tropical fruits or timber. Given its proximity to major tourist destinations, the property would lend itself to a tourism project or to division into smaller farms for country homes. Access is by gravel road from either Arenal, Guatuso, or Venado. The road is OK and is currently being improved. An electrification project for the area is in process. The river on the property has sufficient flow and fall to install a small, inexpensive hydroelectric plant if desired. The farm has a pleasantly mild climate at an altitude of 600 meters.
