Playa Junquillal Beach Costa Rica
Along our picturesque northern pacific coast you will encounter a beautiful two mile stretch of warm sand. The shore is lined by lush grassy areas that boast a serene atmosphere. Playa Junquillal is a lot less crowded than other beaches in the area, making it an ideal destination to get away from the everyday noise of the city. Playa Junquillal is not the best beach to swim at; there are many strong currents and rip tides in the rough waters. Come stroll across the sand, enjoy the breathtaking sunsets, admire the dry tropical forests or take a walk on the adventurous side and camp out under the gorgeous starlit sky. If you watch closely you might observe monkeys playing among tree tops, butterflies fluttering around or birds singing in the skies. Playa Junquillal is the nesting ground for Ridley sea turtles nest during December and January. Surfers can take advantage of the nice surfing sites along the shore. Visitors interested in other water sports can look into deep sea fishing as well as snorkeling.
