Jaco Beach is an extremely popular beach destination due to its proximity to the capital; it is located about two hours away. Even though swimming is possible here, visitors are cautioned to be wary of the rip tides. This bustling beach community has a reputation for being a party beach; the nightlife in Jaco Beach is excellent! Surfers love Jaco Beach for its waves; the waves are not always reliable though, in the event of the surf not being at its best you can travel to other nearby surfing destinations in no time at all. Local people are very friendly and helpful. Jaco Beach is a carefree kind of town that has much to offer; from panoramic ocean vistas to modern conveniences to entertaining clubs.
