Location and Driving Directions
Punta Leona Resort is located in Puntarenas, Costa Rica at 7 miles (12 km) from the town of Jaco, and at 56 miles (90 km) from San Jose. Close by you will fine the Punta Leona private reserve, and beaches such as Playa Hermosa, Playa Malo, and the famous Jaco Beach. You can travel by bus, which passes by the entrance gate to Punta Leona, or take a taxi from the Juan Santamaria International Airport. If you are driving from the Juan Santamaria International Airport or San Jose, take the Inter American Highway towards Puntarenas. Take the exit to a town called Atenas where you will be able to see the sign for Punta de Leona Hotel. Continue to follow the signs for the hotel, Jaco and Quepos, as you go through towns of Atenas, San Mateo, Orotina, and Tarcoles. The hotel is located on the right hand side of the road, about 15 minutes after you pass over the Tarcoles River. You will see a big sign and entrance gate on your right hand side.
