Location and Driving Directions
To reach Lomas del Volcan Hotel from San Jose, take the Puntarenas HWY upon departing from the international airport. Turn right at San Ramon and cross east to west towards the hospital, you should see a road sign that says Villa Blanca and Bajo Rodriguez. Keep driving until you pass through La Tigra, Chachagua to La Fortuna. Take a left towards the Arenal Volcano, travel 2km and you will come across an entrance on the left hand side of the road, follow it to the end until you reach Lomas del Volcan Hotel. The drive should take about 3 ½ hours. Or Take the Puntarenas HWY upon departing from the international airport. Turn right at the Naranjo exit and you will find a road sign that states Zarcero and Ciudad Quesada. Travel through these towns until you reach a small village named Santa Clara, take a right. Drive through Jabillos, La Vega, El Tanque until you reach La Fortuna. Drive on for 2 km towards the Arenal Volcano, the entrance to Lomas del Volcan Hotel will be on your left. The journey should take approximately 4 hours.
