Location and Driving Directions
Guanamar Hotel and Sportfishing Resort is located in Playa Carrillo on the Nicoya Peninsula. In order to get here by car you need to take the Inter American Highway to Puntarenas. You need to keep on the same road as you pass the Puntarenas turn off. Keep driving for at least one more hour and turn left at the sign for Puente (Bridge) La Amistad. Follow that road, cross the bridge and keep driving towards Nicoya. Drive through Nicoya and you will see signs for the road to Samara. It should take you about 40 minutes from Nicoya to Samara. Once in Samara you will see a sign for Carrillo on the left, follow this road for about ten minutes and you will get to Carrillo. Drive along the street parallel to the beach. Where the beach ends you will cross a small bridge and go up the road for another 450 yards (150 meters) and you will see the sign for Guanamar Hotel and Sportfishing Resort on the right.
