Location and Driving Directions
El Jardin del Eden Hotel is located in Tamarindo Guancaste, on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The hotel is located in the center of town, up on a hill about 492 feet (150 m) from the beach. Tamarindo is at 170 miles (274 km) from San Jose, and 42 miles (69 km) from the town of Liberia. You can fly directly to the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste, and drive from there or take a taxi to the hotel. If you are flying directly to the Juan Santamaria International Airport, you can also take a domestic flight to Liberia’s international airport or drive from San Jose.
If you are driving from the Juan Santamaria International Airport or San Jose, take the Inter American Highway going north towards Liberia. Arriving in Liberia you will come to a traffic light on the highway with 2 gas stations, a Burger King and Papa Jones Pizza on the corners. From the traffic light, make a left (Highway 21) and head west along the main road to the beaches. You will reach a town called Huacas. Turn left and pass through Santa Rosa. You will arrive at a town called Villareal, and from there turn right onto a dirt road continuing straight for about 3 miles (5 km). As soon as you enter Tamarindo, coming into town you will reach a big sign for the Best Western Hotel. Keep going until the next corner at the El Milagro Hotel and turn left. Turn left at the next block and head straight up the hill for three more blocks where you will reach the reception area of El Jardin del Eden Hotel.
