Don Carlos was active in all aspects of the arts, having painted the frescos of the Holy Trinity in the dome of the San Jose Metropolitan Cathedral. After managing the Gran Hotel, Don Carlos decided to start his own pension called Pension Canada in 1947. Since then Hotel Don Carlos has made a strong effort to offer its guests high quality service.
