Location and Driving Directions
Barcelo Playa Langosta is located 50 minutes from Liberia International Airport and 5 minutes from Tamarindo city center. Sansa and Nature Air domestic airlines both offer daily flights to Tamarindo. Check our domestic flights page for schedules. Public Bus systems can be an adventure, there is a direct bus that departs from San Jose, the drive takes about 5 hours and 30 minutes. If you decide to rent a vehicle the easiest route to take is via the Pan American HWY until you reach Liberia in Guanacaste where you can follow all of the clearly visible signs to Tamarindo. You could also take the road that goes over the “Puente de la Amistad” (Bridge of Friendship) and then pass through Nicoya and Santa Cruz. Once in Tamarindo follow signs to Playa Langosta, you should begin to see signs that lead to the hotel.
