Location and Driving Directions
The Backyard Hotel is located at the south end of Playa Hermosa in Jaco, Puntarenas, right on the Pacific Ocean of Costa Rica. The hotel is located approximately 73 miles (117 km) West of San Jose, and 45 miles (75 km) South of Puntarenas. If you are taking the bus from San Jose you can catch it at the Coca Cola Bus Station going for the Orotina exit to Jaco/Quepos (West). The bus will take you directly to Jaco. From there you would need to take a taxi or the Puntarenas/Quepos bus to Hermosa Beach. The hotel is on the south end of Hermosa Beach on the right hand side, next to the Backyard Bar & Restaurant. If you are driving from the Juan Santamaria International Airport or San Jose, take the Inter American Highway taking the Orotina exit west towards Jaco/Quepos. Follow the signs down to Jaco. Once in Jaco, go past that town for about 3 miles (5 km) to Hermosa Beach. The hotel is located at the south end of Hermosa Beach on the right hand side, next to the Backyard Bar & Restaurant.
