This quirky volcano has scientists questioning if it is really a volcano or just the product of a landslide. Laguna Poco Sol Volcano is a 656 ft wide depression that is filled with a lake. Laguna Poco Sol Volcano sits surrounded by virgin forests and abandoned fields. The summit stands 2588 ft tall. The coordinates of this unusual volcano are: 10.32N, and 84.66E. The zone does boast thermal activity, first recorded in 1969, that can be witnessed by the boiling mud pots strewn across the terrain. The 3.5 acres that surround Laguna Poco Sol feature a waterfall, forest trails, fumaroles and a biological station named after the volcano.
