Joaristi & Barascout was founded in 1995 by the merger of Aimee Joaristi Designs with the architectural firm of Enrique Barascout. With over 20 years combined experience, Ms. Joaristi (2004 Costa Rican Interior Design Award recipient) and Mr. Barascout have worked extensively on projects abroad including in Italy, Spain, Belgium and the United States. Their focus is on design, planning and construction of high-end residential real estate projects.

Meridiana is a blend of two distinct architectures: "New Urbanism" reminiscent of Seaside, Florida, and Victorian architecture of American Fruit Companies that established themselves in Costa Rica in the late nineteenth century. We chose a light, fresh and cheerful style that brings to mind feelings associated with the ocean, blends with the environment and rescues, in a modern architectural language, a Costa Rican vernacular style, explains Aimée Joaristi of Joaristi & Barascout, the architecture firm behind La Meridiana.
