Universidad Empresarial is a non profit private university operated by the Fundacion Empresarial de Costa Rica. UNEM offers programs in Spanish in Costa Rica and throughout Latin America as well as English programs. This school began operating in 1992 as the International Post graduate School affiliated with the University of San José. In 1997, the International Post-Graduate School began working independently and became Universidad Empresarial. International students willing to apply to the Empresarial University need to belong to a country with which there’s an agreement and need to submit a completed application for, application fee, birth certificate or copy of passport, recent passport color picture, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts and resume. The main campus for the Universidad Empresarial is located in Zapote, near San Jose and there are plans to open additional campuses around Costa Rica. At the Universidad Empresarial Costa Rica you can obtain a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of science in different fields, both in English and Spanish instruction. There are also distance learning programs for those students unable to finish their university studies. A quick credit transfer is all that is needed to get the chance to obtain your degree internationally. You can opt for distance learning both for graduate and undergraduate programs at the Empresarial University. Graduate programs include Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts, Master of Education, Master of Bilingual education, doctor of business administration, Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education.
