Villa Blanca is set about an hour (37 miles) from San Jose in car, located on a paved, picturesque highway. Upon leaving the airport take the Pan American HWY northward past Palmares, take the off ramp for San Ramon. Keep driving straight through the town, past the church, until you have to turn. Take a left and then an immediate right hand turn at the Hospital. Drive about 7 blocks and you will come across another church, turn left and you will begin to traverse the countryside. The road from here on out is clearly marked with road signs that point to Villablanca, San Carlos and Arenal Volcano. At the police station there are double speed bumps, here you take a right onto a smaller road that is also paved. Drive for another 5 miles, heading left at the fork, this will lead you to the hotel’s parking lot. Be sure to drive carefully and keep an eye out for stray cattle and narrow curves in the road.
