Location and Driving Directions

Tango Mar is located on Quizales Beach. This grayish sand beach with smooth waves is located in Puntarenas near Playa Tambor.

If you are traveling by air, a short 25 minute flight takes you to the Tambor Airport, which is located just 5 miles (8 km) from Tango Mar. This service is supplied daily by 2 domestic airlines.

If you are traveling by car from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, you can take the Inter American Highway towards Puntarenas driving for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. When you get to Puntarenas, take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera, in this relaxing one hour and fifteen minutes you can see the Gulf Islands, birds, dolphins, etc. Once on the other side, Tango Mar is only a short forty minute drive on a paved road, through mountains, forests, charming towns and panoramic ocean views. Just follow the signs to Tambor and Tango Mar which is on the way to Covanos.
