Rafiki Safari Lodge is one of the most beautiful ecotourism lodges of Costa Rica, located at approximately 18.5 miles (30kms) south of Quepos, inside one of the most amazing and outstanding rainforests in the pacific area. Rafiki Safari Lodge is nestled on 750 acres (almost 3.5 square km) of the beautiful Quepos jungle. The fabulous Costa Rican rainforest will give you incredible sights and experiences, such as marvelous waterfalls, impressive flora and fauna, unbelievable sightseeing, a quite big variety of birds and hikes through the many trails that are all over the lodge’s property for your delight and pleasure. You will enjoy the adventurous and magnificent Savegre River wich provides the Rafiki experience with class III and IV whitewater rafting, a must do for those extreme explores looking for new adventures. The Rafiki Safari Lodge is no regular hotel, it is also a Tapir Reintroducing Project where the owners, the Boshoff family, have created a special environment for the tapirs so in a near future they will be able to run again free through the Savegre Valley and why not the Costa Rican many rainforests. Currently there is a corridor exclusively for tapirs passing by called “El Paso de la Danta”.

While staying in Rafiki (wich means “Friend” in Swahili) you can choose from many fun and interesting activities like whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking or taking a dive into the river water filled pool, where you can also take advantage of one of the Top 5 water slides of the world: a water slide that begins at the lodge and speeds down 100 feet below the lodge facilities, basically a slide into the jungle!. Among other amazing activities you can indulge yourself with at Rafiki Safari Lodge, we can mention the Braai, and wich is a typical South African BBQ accompanied by the professional local chef’s excellent dishes. This spacious Safari Tents are imported all the way from South Africa and are able to accommodate as much as 4 people in the very comfortable way, a way that only the Rafiki experience can provide. Large windows will give you the smells of the rainforest every morning and you will enjoy spectacular bird watching and the nature surroundings just by sitting on your own porch.
