The staff at Serenity Spa believe in giving the most they can to their clients, understanding that while they are with them, they are depending on them to regenerate and rejuvenate them, make them celebrate themselves within their own skin. Therefore, they are strongly committed to delivering not only a relaxing and enjoyable experience, but one that will have lasting and unforgettable results. For example, all of the treatments include the signature “3 Steps” before they actually begin the treatment.

The “3 steps” are:
1. All body treatments start with a Dry Brushing of the body. The benefits are many, as dry brushing exfoliates the skin, removing dead cells and increases circulation, aiding the digestive system, the lymph glands, and leaving one with an overall heightened sensation.

2. The next step is a deep cleansing of the skin with their own tropical essence Body Shampoo and exfoliating glove. The aromatherapy body shampoo leaves one’s skin clean, refreshed and invigorated.

3. The last cleansing step is a wet brushing with Hygia Essential Oil, a natural aromatherapy cleansing oil which kills all bacteria on the surface of the skin, smells heavenly and leaves one feeling relaxed.

The Serenity Massage
30, 60 & 90 Minutes
A relaxing Swedish massage combined with other techniques targeting your specific area of concern.

The Deep Tissue Massage
60 Minutes
This is a therapeutic massage that works deeper in the muscle to reduce pain and sooth muscles spasms. Your therapist will direct his or her attention to where you most need it.

The Couples Massage
60 & 90 Minutes
Drift away and peel away the layers of stress with that special someone in your life with this relaxing Swedish massage combined with other techniques.

The Aromatherapy Massage
75 Minutes
This massage will tingle and soothe all the body’s senses. It starts with a stimulating dry brushing, followed with an aromatherapy cleansing oil and finishes with a 60 minute massage using essential oils of the highest quality.

The Costa Rican Lava Rock Massage
90 Minutes
Experience the extraordinary combination of hot rocks, massage and aromatherapy. The healing properties of the warm stones deliver a more centered, deeper level of relaxation that stays with you long after the massage is finished.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage
60 Minutes
This is a 60 minute light touch relaxing massage that follows the lymphatic pathway for great detoxification.

Head, Hands & Foot Massage
45 Minutes
Starting with a scalp massage, they then massage the neck, face, shoulders, hands and feet. A great add on to any spa treatment.

The Exfoliators

Serenity Spa has developed some natural scrubs that are combined with essential oils to exfoliate the surface dead cells and leave the skin radiant. Sure to delight the senses of the body!

The Coffee Scrub
50 Minutes
The coffee lover’s special. From our own coffee plantations we blend lightly ground coffee with aromatic oils to gently exfoliate the skin. This treatment leaves the skin soft and slight tanned.

The Coco Scrub
50 Minutes
Good enough to eat! This special mixture of coconut, salt and coconut oil is designed to scrub away the dead cells and leave your skin radiant and hydrated.

The Citrus Salt Scrub
50 Minutes
A blend of sea salts with tropical citrus oils removes the old withered skin of yesterday and a new refreshed smoother skin emerges. This is a great way to start your tanning.

The Serenity Body Peel
120 Minutes
This fabulous treatment combines exceptional exfoliation with luxurious pampering. Using an ultra effective natural vegetable peel, they gently peel away the dead cells, smooth wrinkles and soften the skin. This massage ends with a 30 minute session that massages in essential oils, extracts and aromatic creams to energize and replenish the skin. An aromatic delight!

The Muds & Wraps

Mineral rich clays, healing sediments and sulpher laden volcanic muds encompass the Serenity Spa’s exclusive line of signature treatments. All of their signature mud treatments come with the “ 3 Steps” and a 30 minute massage.

The Volcanic Mud Treatments
90 Minutes
Experience the healing properties of the mineral enriched colored muds found at the volcano’s base. They begin first with the 3 steps of the cleansing process; relax with a moisturizing 30 minute massage with their special blend of cream and oil. Entrust yourself to their therapists as you are wrapped in a cocoon with the mud detoxifying your body. While you are resting for the last 10 minutes, enjoy the gentle facial massage.

Natural Clay Wraps
These 100% natural clays are extracted from deep within the rainforest in Costa Rica. The properties of these clays are known to detoxify and restore the skin’s balance. This treatment leaves the skin smoother and more hydrated.

The Seaweed Wrap
90 Minutes
After the 3 steps cleansing and the relaxing massage, they cool the body’s core temperature and stimulate the body’s systems with a cooling seaweed mask.

The Sunburn Relief
45 Minutes
Did you get too hot? This quick treatment cleanses, cools and calms skin over exposed to sun with aromatherapy oils, aloe and the cooling seaweed wrap. (Massage is not included with this treatment).

The “Oleaslim” Cellulite and Total Detox Wrap
90 To 100 Minutes
To provide great results in contouring the body, reducing cellulite and deep detoxification, the following regime is necessary: a vigorous dry brushing, a 60 minute lymphatic drainage massage and the application of the “Oleaslim” pure essential oil. This combination deeply detoxifies and liquefies toxins. Now it’s time to sweat them out!

The Facials

The Serenity Spa facial treatments are performed with the European Scientific Skin Care line Nelly De Vuyst. Each treatment is carefully customized for your skin type.

The Serenity Facial
60 Minutes
A European style, hands on facial treatment that includes deep cleansing, aromatherapy massage, application of corrective products, and a mask.

The Keratolyse Peel
90 Minutes
Using a very gentle vegetable peel, gentle enough to use on the eyelids, they carefully remove the rough build up of dead cells to redefine the texture of the skin and lessen wrinkles. Leaves the skin smooth and radiant!

The Oxygen Facial
75 Minutes
Oxygen is life! After a deep cleansing with their signature aromatherapy face and scalp massage they select the correct products for your skin type and then infuse oxygen into the skin using penetrating products that moisturize and rebalance your body. It’s like a breath of fresh air.

The Mini Facial
30 Minutes
A quick 30 minute treatment to cleanse, moisturize and apply a mask. This is great to add on to a signature treatment.

The Half Day

Indulge yourself with the healing properties of the signature mud treatments, with a relaxing 60 minute massage, mini facial to cleanse and moisturize, and hair conditioner with scalp massage to protect and hydrate the hair.

The Pick Me Up
90 Minutes
An all over dry brushing delivers a surge of circulation, followed by an aromatherapy massage that creates a feeling of tranquility and all over wellness. This treatment is topped off with an aromatherapy mini facial to hydrate the skin and pamper the total being.

The Rejuvenator
2 Hours & 15 Minutes
This treatment offers an invigorating exfoliation of the total body using the tropical citrus scrub, followed by a relaxing 60 minute massage and then a full body sea mint clay mask, to be finished off with a 10 minute scalp massage. This is absolute rejuvenation.

The Crème de la Crème
3 Hours
Let your skin be reborn! This is the most luxurious treatment of them all. Three Hours of pampering, cleansing, peeling away of all the rough, dry skin, a 60 minute relaxing massage, application of the most deliciously decadent aromatic creams, pure extracts, aromatherapy oils and the purifying rainforest clay. As if this isn’t enough, a purifying mini facial and scalp massage sends you into a sea of tranquility.

Choose your favorite signature body scrub, add a 60 minute massage and finish with your choice of their signature mud wrap. And of course, don’t forget your scalp massage.
