Upon departing from the International Airport or San Jose area take the Panamerican HWY, drive towards Puntarenas, following the road signs. Upon reaching Puntarenas you will take a ferry ride adorned with stunning views that lasts about 1.5 hours. The ferry will leave you in Paquera. From here you drive on to Cobano and then to Mal Pais, at the Mal Pais intersection, take a right and you can follow the road to Santa Teresa.
