Location and Driving Directions

There is a distance of about 100 miles between San Jose and Monteverde. Upon leaving the San Jose airport take the Pan American HWY and head north. Pass through the Puntarenas intersection and drive for about 20 minutes. Take a right before reaching the Lagarto River bridge. Here you should come across the entrance to Monteverde, stay on this road for 21 miles until you reach Monteverde. You will be able to follow highway signs the entire trip.
