Location and Driving Directions

Laguna Lodge is located in Tortuguero on the North Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica approximately 50 miles (80 km) northeast of the city of Limon. There is no road to Tortuguero. Instead you need to drive to Moin and from here a boat will take you to Tortuguero on an exciting trip that lasts about 3 hours. Getting to Moin is easy. You need to take the main road that goes to Limon (Highway 32) passing through the lush Braulio Carrillo National Park. The distance between San Jose and Limon is 105 miles (168 km). Before you get to Limon you will see an exit for Moin. This is where you will board the boat that will take you to Tortuguero through a beautiful system of canals. Flying to Tortuguero from San Jose is most recommended. You will arrive at the air strip in Tortuguero and from there a local guide will take you on a short boat trip to Laguna Lodge.
