Location and Driving Directions

Hacienda Guachipelin is located in Guancaste near the town of Curubande.

From San Jose you need to drive to Liberia on the Inter American Highway. Once in Liberia look for the intersection and head north. You will need to drive 3 miles (5 km) north on this road that goes to the Nicaraguan border. You will see on the entrance to Curubande and Rincon de la Vieja National Park on the right. The way to Curubande is a 9 mile (14 km) dirt road. From Curubande you will need to travel less than 1 mile until you reach the gate to Hacienda Guachipelin. At the gate you need to pay $2 per person for the use of this private road.
