El Sapo Dorado restaurant is known for the creativity, variety, flavor, freshness, and presentation of their dishes. The menu always includes a choice of whole grains, vegetarian and vegan dishes, pastas, seafood, chicken, as well as beef, pork, and decadent desserts. Organic products are used whenever possible.

The recipes are all unique at El Sapo Dorado, as wells as original adaptations of old favorites. Special dietary needs are easily accommodated with advance notice. The restaurant bar is fully equipped and the staff trained to prepare any classic delight as well as the most exotic of cocktails. They devote themselves to seeing that quality remains consistent and that service improves daily.

Classical and jazz selections (on compact disk) accompany breakfast and dinner. Latin rhythms provide the atmosphere during the midday hours. The restaurant has inside seating for nonsmokers as well as terrace seating with a view of the Gulf of Nicoya for those who enjoy a cigarette or pipe. Cigar smoking is not permitted.
