To reach Cauhita upon departing from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, you will have to travel just under 130miles. At the airport exit turn east on the Pan American HWY drive about a 1/3 of a mile, take a left at the stop light onto route 3 - 112 East towards Heredia. You should pass by the Imperial brewery. Continue on to San Isidro where you start out heading south; turn east to get to San Luis and the intersection with Highway 32. Turn left on Highway 32 and continue on until you reach the tunnel that opens into Braulio Carillo National Park. Continue on following the clearly marked road signs to Limon. Turn South on Highway 36 to get to Cahuita. Once in Cahuita, follow the only main road and turn left at the police station. The El Encanto B&B is located 330yds west of the police station.
