Location and Driving Directions

Doubletree Hilton Resort is located in Puntarenas, on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It is very accessible and a great area to stay in if you are taking any side trips, because it is only a few hours away from the great places to visit in each province. Doubletree Hilton Resort is only 2 hours away from the Airport in Liberia, and only 90 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport. From Puntarenas you can travel to volcanic peaks, cloud forests, islands and many other places of natural beauty and adventure. If you are driving from San Jose, take the Pan American HWY passing Palmares, San Ramon, and Esparza. At the intersection between Puntarenas and Guanacaste, you will turn right toward Puntarenas and travel about 4 miles (6 km) to Caldera. The hotel’s sign will be on your right, where you will turn right into the entrance. This road will take you directly to Doubletree Hilton Resort. There are signs for Doubletree Hilton Resort along the road. Another route from San Jose will be to take the Pan American HWY and about 15 minutes past the international airport, you will turn right at the intersection that goes to Atenas. After Atenas, you will travel passing San Mateo and Orotina, heading towards Caldera, turning right as you reach the Pacific. Going for a few more miles you will cross the Rio Barranca Bridge and arrive shortly thereafter at the hotel’s sign. Here you will turn left and the road will take you directly to the resort.
