Location and Driving Directions

Blue Surf Sanctuary is located in Santa Teresa which is in close vicinity to Mal Pais. You can opt to fly into Tambor beach and drive to Santa Teresa. If you prefer to take a self guided road trip when you leave the airport you will get on the Pan American HWY and head for Puntarenas where you will board the ferry that takes passengers to Paquera. When you disembark you will drive through Cobano to reach the Mal Pais intersection and there you will turn right to get to Santa Teresa. The total trip lasts approximately 5 1/2 - 6 hours. Be sure to check ferry schedules before your departure.
