Location and Driving Directions

Upon leaving the San Jose area you will need to drive westward towards Puntarenas to reach Mal Pais. Once in Puntarenas you take the ferry to Paquera. Enjoy an hour long ferry ride with great scenery and when you disembark take the road to Tambor on through Cobano. Follow signs to El Carmen beach. On your right you should see a sign that says "Frank's Place". Take a left at this intersection and continue on for approximately 5 minutes until you glimpse the entrance to Beija Flor Resort on your left. You can also book a domestic aviation service and fly into Tambor and taxi to the hotel.
