Location and Driving Directions

Playa Potrero is very close to Flamingo Beach, it sits 175 miles from San Jose, 45 miles from the Liberia airport and 15 miles from the local Tamarindo airport. Drive in from the capitol or book a flight to cut your travel time. Departing from San Jose, get on the Pan American HWY and head towards Palmares; pass through and continue on past San Ramon and Esparza until you reach Puntarenas. Pass the Puntarenas exit and keep an eye out for the Tempisque sign. You should see a shell gas station on your left hand side. Take a left and drive toward Nicoya, crossing the Tempisque River bridge. Continue past Nicoya through Santa Cruz and head for Belen. As you approach belen you will see signs for Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal and Potrero. Follow the signs to Playa Potrero.
